About Timestop

We’re a remote team that makes the Timestop D-20: the world’s first digital watch for table top role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. We built it from the ground up, have shipped over a thousand to customers around the world, and people really like it. We love doing hard things well, making great stuff, and bringing joy to our customers.

About This Role

The Production Technician is primarily responsible for making watches. This consists of careful assembly with small parts, performing quality control and inspections, and tracking inventory use. They will also perform some degree of proposing process improvements, process documentation, order fulfillment, and watch repair as needed.

Our team is mostly remote, so after the initial training period, others may or may not be in our office while the Production Technician is working. That means the hours will be quite flexible and electronic communication will be important.

Ideal candidates will have experience assembling or repairing small, complex items like electronics, jewelry, or miniatures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble digital watch modules and cases using specialized tools, cleanliness standards, and anti-static (ESD) protocols.
  • Inspect components and final assemblies for defects, tolerances, and finishing quality
  • Install firmware builds onto module control boards and test assembled functionality
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of inspections, production output, and inventory use
